ODAY 222 replacement JIB Blocks

Hi.
I have a 1986 O'DAY 222. Love the boat. I need to replace the carts for the jib sheets. The ones from D&R Marine were too large and needed to return. I measured the size to the T-Track and it looks to be less than 3/4 inch.

Do I need to upgrade the tracks to 1 inch? If I do, will the spacing of the holes match what is on the boat currently. I hate putting holes in the boat.

if you upgrade to 1inch it will be easier to find the cars

Give Garhauer Marine, http://garhauermarine.com, a call. They have several kits and will drill the T Track to match your existing mounting holes. Very easy to talk to and explain what your looking for.

When I called about a traveler they put me through to the owner. He suggested one of their kits, said to call with the length, hole size and hole spacing and they would make the track to fit the original location.

I believe this is the original jib lead that fits the 3/4" track. It is what I have on my 86 222.

Kind of pricey, as is most Schaefer hardware, but very good quality. If the car is good and just the block needs replacing, maybe you could carefully cut off the old block and replace it with something like this:

Just purchased a 1985 222, so I'll be following this thread closely. I know my jib tracks are less than an inch. Plan to launch by Sept 7 and figure-out how to sail this fractional rig!

I tried that. The Garhauer 25 block won't work. The shackle is too large to fit into the remaining loop on the car.
