H22 help finding floor boards

I have an H22 that needs floor boards and the wall panel on the port side that divides the v- berth from the salon. The floor boards cover the lead ballast. The ones in the boat have rotted away.
1.)Are there replacement floor boards or will I need to make them? If they need to be made where do I find the material?
2.)The wall panel on the port side holds the chain plate in place.Are there ready made panels for this or will it need to be made?
3.)Also the sink and storage area that serves as the step into the boat has been removed can it be bought?

I hope you're good at carpentry! You won't find ready made floorboards for a sailboat 25+ years old and I expect yours is that age. If you make them yourself, use "Exterior grade" or Marine Grade plywood that is as thick or more than the existing floorboards. As for the bulkhead, if you can remove it in once piece, you can use it as a template to cut a new one. Was there a bulkhead on the port side? Sort of looks like something is missing to me???

The port bulkhead is missing. I sold this boat and the guy did more damage in 60 days, of which 30 days were on the water, than a pack of apes could in a year. He paid me and 60 days later told us we could have it back for free. So now the repairs are in process. A fried has a lot of marine repair experience so we will get it repaired and ready to sale. Got to get the repairs done I think I have it sold.

Just so happens I have a port side bulkhead I can give you. I had it made, but after I made it, I didn't like it because it was a little thin. It'll work for you, however, and if you think it is too thin for you, you can always sister it up with something. Where do you live?

Lakesailsor, make a template where the board would fit in the floor with paper and then use that as a template to say when cutting a new board. Allow the lip to be flush with the floor. Add stringers to the bottom of the board for structural strength and then seal it with varnish or something comparable. Hope this helps. See if the forum store might have them as they sometimes come up with things that many do not have as they do go out of their way. Ask for Dave or Al.

Thank you for the reply. I am in East Tennessee, close to Knoxville. I am finding that I will have to make the bulkhead. I am looking at 3/4 in plywood stain it the cover it with fiberglass resin.

My new problem is the plates that hold the swing keel are gone and Marlow- Hunter has no idea about them. I have the drawing for them and am having them made.
To explain: I sold the boat to a guy who tried his best to destroy the boat in 60 days. Called me and said come and get your boat it is not what you said it was. I went a picked up the boat and am not trying to put it back together. And no I did not give him any money back nor did he ask for any. the poor guy need to be on medication.

I coated my new bulkhead with epoxy (abtron i think) instead of glass, but you do what you want. I think I used marine grade plywood, but I don't remember. as long as it has a nice finish, that's all you need. The plates are simple. There are a lot of threads here about rebuilding the swing keel. You probably need to patch up the foam and glass, make and insert a new nylon bushing, cut a new stainless steel axle. I did that myself it came out well. I can help you source the stuff if you need.

Hey Thanks for the note. Yes I got the drawings for the keel plate off of this forum, a 2009 post. I have a guy making the plates and the axle. So it is all coming together, thanks to this forum, it has been a great source information. So Thank You to all of you on Hunter Sailboat Forum.

Are you at Concord Sail club , Tellico(snail darter lake) or the other? Delivered a lot of boats there. Even delivered a modified mast on a Catalina 350 to fit under the bridge going the the locks With a funny story on that delivery.

Snail Darter Lake! There are not many that know about the snail darter, well that are still living. I also sail on Watts Bar Lake, grew up in Fort Loudon Lake(concord sail club). Where do you hail from?

I use to own American Marine & Sail Supply first from Smith Mt. Lake and then Zebulon, NC when handling the larger boats. Came down I 40 even during the snow and once nearly got clobbered by an avalanche in the NC mountain side when delivering boats. Know Watts Barr as well. It was Ft. Loudon I was trying to think about. On the TN River, there was one spot that stunk to high heck due to the Turkey Vultures poplulating that little island.

What material did you end up installing for the port bulkhead on that 80's H22 ?
And how did you finish it?
I'm looking to replace both bulkheads in a season or two on my 1981 H22.
