Time for new standing rigging

I'm beginning to get some broken strands on my standing rigging, so it's time to think about replacing it all. Any recommendations as to the best place to buy from will be appreciated. I'm down in Panama, so it will have to be shipped here ready to install.

I've replaced individual lines before by just taking the old one off and having someone duplicate it, but that was when I was in the states. I can't send in my old rigging at this point.

Shipped? Why? Have you talked with any of the local riggers. I would think that you find better service no duty?

How are your Marlinspike seamanship skills? I just made a whole new set of running rigging for my boat (much smaller boat I know) from heat set Dyneema and its almost 3 times stronger than my old 1/8" stainless wire, and believe it or not it costs LESS!

I talked with the one guy here who has a good reputation, and he just orders everything from the states. I'll definitely use him to help install it. Surprisingly, Panama is pretty sparse when it comes to parts for sailboats. You'd think that with all the sailboats coming through the canal that there would be marine services all over the place. Power boats have lots more services available. Sailboats not so much. Most of the guys here who do rigging work are freelancers. There is one business that does swaging, but I'd have to sail back to the city and have them take the existing rigging down and copy it. Plus, they would have to order their parts from the US as well.

Try SECO south in largo fl they are very good and they made the rigging for your boat in the beginning and they are very competitive price wise .....

I had Seco South do mine. A word of caution, measure your rigging before you order it. I asked for the standard H34 set up and found that the prebend tensioners were just a little shy. I managed to get them to fit, just beware. Otherwise, they were great, good service and priced right. You could also manufacture your own using Norseman fittings or similar. A little expensive but you can make your own repairs easily if need be.
