Water is leaking out of the center of the bathroom faucet. Where can I get a replacement faucet that fits. Also the toilet does not flush water at all when I push on the lever. How do I find out which toilet this is for a rebuild kit or does that rarely work out? If I need a new toilet where is the cheapest place to get one that fits easily.

There's nothing arcanely "marine" about faucets...check big box hardware stores or, if your faucet has a fitting to attach a handheld shower, RV supply stores.

Before we jump to any conclusions about your toilet...first thing to check: is the intake thru-hull open? If so, what's the make/model/approx age of the toilet? If you don't know post a picture that shows the pump (all bowls look alike, so a pic of the bowl won't be much help)....and exactly what do you mean by "push on the lever?" What lever? Describe exactly what you do to try to flush it. Once I know what you have and what you're doing I should be able to tell you what to do differently or what you need.

The toilet should have a name on it some place. Jabsco is the cheapest and most common, and Raritan is one of the better ones. They go all the way up the the Baby Blake which costs like $3000. You won't find one of those on an O'day. West Marine, Defender, and any other marine supply store have them. Last time I bought a Jabsco it was about $150.

Okay thanks the handle has a black grip the rest is shiny metal maybe 10 inch's long looks to be original . I will be back down there Mon eve and can take a picture. Will check the thru hull , I figured rebuild kit since I don't feel much resistance when I pump the lever .

Not sure if this will help, since it is a "generic" picture, but in my collection of O'DAY pictures, I had a good picture of the head compartment of a 1982 O'DAY 30. It shows the sink and head (toilet in landlubber terms). Looks like a typical marine/RV faucet.

It has to be an earlier model of one of these:
jabsco Manual toilet.jpg Raritan PHC.jpg

The first on is Jabsco, the second one is a Raritan PHC. Don't buy anything till we trouble-shoot it, starting with making sure the flush water inlet seacock is open.

Okay great , rv prob translates to more then home but less then marine for the sink . They def changed the toilet by 82 because that one has a plunge down handle it looks like and mine has a handle more the the second head in the other pictures . I'm feeling more confident that I can fix this boat up it has some really good points like the original fabric and wood inside are perfect pretty much

No way is your toilet original, 'cuz unlike houshold toilets, marine toilets don't last anywhere near 35 years...nor does any other equipment on a boat. If has a level handle like the one in the photo on the right, it's most likely to be a Raritan PHC. But let's not jump to any conclusions till I can see a photo of it.

The seacock lever is broken off but looks to be closed , so maybe the toilet does work after all . Just need the right wrench to turn it

There's an easy way to find out: remove the intake line from the thru-hull...stick it into a bucket of water...pump the toilet. If it works, the closed seacock is the problem..or at least part of the problem. If it doesn't, we have to get that seacock open anyway. And btw, where are the pictures of your toilet?

I'd add one more caution to Peggy's advice above.... (I assume the boat is presently in the water?) before you remove that intake hose from the thru-hull, have a suitable-sized plug ready, just in case the seacock is NOT closed.... YIKEs! :yikes:

You're where you need to be. As long as your buddy can make sure the toilet won't sink the boat, it's the last thing you need to worry about till your mom is "out of the woods." It'll keep till then...meanwhile we'll keep your mom in our prayers.
