ST 4000 display not working

I have an older AutoHelm ST 4000 and the display LCD isn't working. I am unable to find a manual that covers the older pre RayMarine units. Any idea where I can get one. I've looked all over the internet and find plenty of places for the new units. Did Raymarine destroy them all?

The text is slightly different than my original manual for our "ST4000 Plus Wheel & tiller Autopilots" but the diagrams are the same.

unfortunately that doesn't help me. I need to find the part number and diagram for the display unit. My LCD screen isn't working very well and it forces you to guess what it is trying to tell you. The autopilot is working fine. I'm not sure if I can just go ahead and order a new "Raymarine" control head to replace what I have. I'm told the "brains" of the autopilot are in the control head as opposed to the new "Raymarine" units. My control unit is the one all the way to the right.

Pretty sure the newer 4000 and 4000+ heads would be a drop in as well, since they have the computer inside but I don't think the 6000 head has the brains in it.

Raymarine Autohelms ST4000+ and ST5000+ has the computer inside but are now only found on Ebay or any other used part sites. Raymarine EV100 is the replacement but requires new systems to be installed ie computer an other hardware

This is the manual I have but it's not the service manual. I've never seen the service manual for this model.
