What size pulley should I get for the main and jib halyard pulley at the mast head? Mine are missing. Also would 3/8" line be proper for my running rigging? Boat is a 1979 Hunter 25 for those that have not seen my other questions.

It would be helpful to know the mast mfg. or better yet a picture of the mast and how the turning blocks are secured to the mast. Probably at that time the mast mfg. could have been Kenyoun Isomat.

If you search for "blocks" instead of "pulleys" you will have better results. Running rigging guides are another easy to find item... 3/8 would be the absolute largest for any line on a 25 footer. I like 5/16 for everything but sheets. It will also depend on the quality of line you choose. There is a rigging selection guide right here in the SBO store.

Ok, the sheaves are indeed there. There are 2 on the front side of the mast and 2 on the back. Forgive my stupidity as I was looking at what would be called the spinnaker loop thinking the foresail block attached there. So if I see this right, the line goes over the sheave and runs inside the mast? I'm not seeing any exit for the lines on the side of the mast. The only other way I see it working is job halyard goes into the front and out the back and the main halyard goes from the back through to the front and down. None of the rigging was there when I bought the boat.

I think after some more research I have answered my own question. The line does come in from the front for the jib, over the tops of both sheaves front to back and down the outside of the mast. The main halyard goes from back over the other sheaves, out the front and down the mast.
