Not sure... it has been a while. I keep a cartridge of dental floss and a needle in my spare parts/tool box on board along with some sail tape and a few scraps of sail cloth from an old sail. I have had to stitch a head sail once and when I sold that boat three years later, the stitch was holding up. So, some actual sail thread or some dental floss seems like a good thing to have with you on a cruise.

Hey, Ward, I think you've got it. Teflon is PTFE, and if Tenara brand thread is made of PTFE, then Teflon-based floss ought to be highly UV resistant too. Hmmmm....
