I recently replaced my aging M25 mainsail with a nice crispy new Doyle and am now wondering if the benefits warrant also replacing the jib. My jib is in a lot better shape than the main was, but when comparing to the crispy new main it sure shows just how limp the jib is
. whenever one hears discussion of the overall loss of performance and pointing ability, as well as added healing caused by aging sails, the discussion always seems to focus on the main, but isn't the jib just as subject to performance losses? or is it?…. I don't see myself ever entering any races, except with myself…. and the guy next to me.
