Reverse gear problem with KiwiProp

Many months back I mentioned that I've to click to forward before shifting to reverse to go astern else my KM2P gearbox would load my 2GM20F and can stall it. Now that I've swop in the 2blade FlexOFold, I've no problem going reverse!
So it seems the KiwiProp really need its annual greasing which I've not done. FoF is good but vibrates the engine/boat. My son says it made the boat sounds like a helicopter :)

I have the 3 blade Flex O Fold on my 3YM30 H-36 everyone comments how smooth my engine
and boat feels

Can you tell me how much your 3blade FoF cost you? I might have to bite the 3FoF bullet if I couldn't solve my KiwiProp problem. Thanks.

$1800.00 and just saw a advertisement for 3 blade for $1900.00 I think but check them out and get a quote.

I put a new flex o fold on my last boat and it was very smooth. I would take yours back off and make sure that the key is not bound. Slip the prop on with no key installed and mark the shaft with a magic marker. Then put the key in and see if the prop goes back on as far is it did with the key left out. A bound key will keep the propeller form being perfectly centered which will cause vibration.

TSail, thanks for the heads up on prop/shaft key.
Saw it on youtube but didn't know why do that?

Benny I've a friend who kept sailing round the world simple on his arm chair reading sailing magazines. :)
