I have a 2004 Hunter 36. My cabin sole is separating and I need advice as to how I can repair it. I am attaching pictures so you can see my issue. This area is in the salon but I have an area in galley that is starting to rise as well. I am assuming the lament floor is glued and the glue is failing? I have searched the forums but have not been able to find a thread that is experiencing my issue. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Appears to be less than an eighth of an inch, by the looks of the tape measure.

Have you measured any difference in thickness between the neighboring panels?

Checked if the supporting structures are contributing to the rise (or fall) of either area?

are you saying that it is separating from the substrate or are you saying that it is separating in the joints.....

It appears to me that you need to pull up the floorboards and look under them if you have not done so already. It appears that you may have a leak from perhaps a water tank, or that it is over the bilge, became moist or wet and swelled. I have seen that before. If it is the case, I suggest you repost here to get ideas on how to remedy it. Good luck!

I'll attempt to answer these question.
You are correct about the measurement however it varies from 1/8th to 1/4 depending on where you stand.
I can not determine the difference between the neighboring panels thickness without removing them.
The supporting structure is not accessible without removing the flooring.
As for the point of separation, it is separating at the joint (see pic #1) and if I understand your definition of the substrate is the underlying portion that the lament flooring attaches to, then yes it is separating from the substrate as well.

you may have to remove the panels and dry them out then put some glue like gorilla glue in the gap and then clamp the parts and let it set/cure and then reinstall the panels as far a s the elevation goes rick d may have that answered ...you may have to shim to get the elevation flush

Thanks. My water tank is located under my V-berth and I have checked the flooring in that area and there aren't any panels separating. The area above my bilge is dry as a dinosaur bone as far as I can reach with a paper towel taped to a 24" dowling rod. The portion separating in the galley is located in front of the stove.
