Boat Stands?

Looking to haul my 1983 H31 Shoal Draft in the next couple of weeks. This is the first time I have hauled it since I brought it down from MD.

I can rent stands at the yard I am using, but I can also buy stands for a decent price.

What size should I buy? They have 3', 4', and 6' available, and how many?

get 1 -3 ft for the bow with a v shaped screw and 6- 4 ft for the rest of the boat and get some chain to tie them together

then you may need to go all 3 ft and a 2 ft under the bow...how deep is the draft from water line to bottom of keel

It appears they don't have 2 ftrs.

That's too bad really, you are going to have to get large blocks to go under the keel.

I have adjustable boat stands, they go from 29 to 59 inches. Maybe you can find some of those on cragslist. I picked up a set of 5 (1 bow V) for $50 each off of craigslist.

Which reminds me. Don't forget to get two blocks to rest the keel on.

Are you storing the boat? If just hauling out for a few days for repairs just rent the stands.

Just hauling for a couple of weeks to do Cutlass bearing, check all thru hulls, sand, buff, and polish hull and deck. I may also replace the rubber boot on the packing gland. depending on how easy the Cutlass bearing goes.

She draws 4.5 feet

We use 6 S-1 stands. Don't know the size range but is fine for an 86 h-31 (shoal keel)

i had 8 total on my last haul out for painting, 4 each side for the deep draft. also as stated above, need chain to connect to stands and blocks under the keel
