Anybody know how much forward to be able to drill my 2 inch hole. I did read some owners go aft next to the bilge pump. Is there a layout of the ballast location somewhere. I dont want cause a nightmare for myself.

Look under the rear berth and locate the bilge pump. There is an area that is flat enough to drill a hole for transducer on the starboard side of the bilge pump area. That is about the only place oon that boat. I sold about a quarter of the production line and put many there.

Dave,
I looked under the v-berth and I can see where the ballast tank is glassed in.Just forward of the ballast tank is the regular hull. Is it ok to put the transducer there.
Thanks

Have you considered just installing a transducer at the stern. I've used this setup on my 240 for years with good results. I hate the thought of drilling holes below the waterline if it can be avoided.
