Leaks - Pockets Behind the Cabin lazerettes

I am hoping someone has experienced and better yet solved this problem...

We returned from a race Sunday. Pretty windy and heeled enough at times to splash water on the head floor from the sink (forgot to close the drain before the race)

There was some water in the little storage pocket behind the Stbd lazerette cushion. It has happened before and I got the suggestion to tighten up the fixed portlight clamps, which I did. But the water, like the proverbial cat, came back.
Stranger yet is the port side. There are 2 pockets on that side; one forward under the portlight which was bone dry, and the other further aft with no apparent water sources. This one had over an inch of water in it.

Any ideas?

I have had this twice, both sides, but not this year. I could never explain it, other than I had been heeling a lot but never found 'evidence' of how the water got in. I posted this last year and others have had it, suggestions were leaky stantions or leaky window. Neither seemed right to me....
Cheers

I am leaning towards rub rail mounting. 1st winter I stored the boat I had more water in the bilge than when it was in the water. I finally tracked it down to a spot in both aft cockpit lockers where the screw hadn't held and they put one beside it and left a hole. Any water in the rail would run to it and down into the bilge.

Had the same problem this year with the pockets on both sides of my boat. Wound up being the windows. had to remove and re-bed them. Found the leak using sidewalk chalk.

Thanks. I will try that first; the chalk that is
