Brand new to sailing so if this is a stupid question go easy... Have two of these cars. One has a broken sheave. Can I fix it or buy a new one and toss the old one. I hate being wasteful. Hope my terminology is correct. If I have to get a new one what is the proper name for this part. It is for my jib sail

I have repaired many of these Schaeffer devices. Its easy to drill that rivet out of the center. The sheaves are easily found with the proper ID and OD. Use a clevis pin for the new axle with a ring clip to keep it in place.

You may also want to check the Garhauer Marine site. They have many of these types of hardware for very reasonable prices with a 10 year warranty.

You could just put a new block on the slider car.
