I hate to read that. But, as it is said, everything has its time. Good luck on future endeavors.

John I sail the 30, and love my boat, she became a part of the family, when she has had a problem I am saddened and when she returns to the water gladdened. So long as Diana and the rest of the fleet is a float your dad's legacy is safe, and your knowledge is why so many of the boats are here to be enjoyed. As the others said please stay engaged we will need your wisdom for a long time to come.

calm seas and fair winds as you work your way through this and know there will also be a port to come to.

Robert-- thanks for the kind thoughts. Beaufort/Morehead City is definitely on my list. I may choose to stay on and work a while-- I love the area. If you hear of anything that might suit, I'll owe you a steak sandwich as a beer.

John, I will check around for you but as you know our winter is closing fast, the economy here is not what it use to be. There are a few boat yards that stay busy but most are and have been really slack this summer. The reason I know this is I have a starter & alternator shop and have had less calls than ever from them. But who knows the fall and winter may be better. Robert

Thanks, Robert

I'll keep that in mind.

FYI-- I have plans to visit the Annapolis show on Friday (possibly and/or Saturday). I'm at h25diana@gmail.com, which I can see on my phone, if anyone's there who would like to take in a steak sandwich and a beer.

Sorry to hear things didn't work out as well as one would have hoped. The good thing is that you have your skills, your friends, a boat, and lots of people here that enjoy your tips, stories, and camaraderie.

Would love to see you at Annapolis John. But having just returned from Newport I probably can't justify the time and cost. Certainly a man of your experience and talents will be welcomed wherever sailing and boats predominate. Change is hard work but then you are used to that. Beaufort/Morehead is a favorite location. Ladylove was there for 18 months. Hope you find what you need there.
Best of Luck, Ed
