Hello everyone -

I have a 1988 Beneteau 432. There does not seem to be much info out there from owners and I would love to know how other owners have dealt with some issues. Currently, I am dealing with the circuit breakers. I can also offer advice on putting in a new windlass if someone needs help with that.

If you have a 432 or know of anyone who does, please help me get in contact. Many minds together is a good thing.

Fair Winds and Thanks in advance!

Pat

I have the same boat and have done quite a lot of work on it. I bought it in 2011 and have also replaced the original burnt out windlass. I replaced the electrical panel with a Blue Seas and upgraded all the electronics. I recovered the cushions with Sunbrella, replaced the plumbing fixtures, worked on the heads, engine, replaced the lenses in all the ports and hatches etc. It's a great boat and handles well in the ocean. I can't tell you about specific issues unique to this boat except that it started its life as a charter, so engines and windlass get abused. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for responding! I have ordered a new panel for the circuit breakers. I have only replaced the two sink faucets in the forward head so far. It was difficult getting modern home depot type fixture to join with the black plastic plasson(sp) fixtures. I guess that was the original plumbing to the boat. Here on St Croix, it can be an adventure for the simplest things sometimes. I had a friend helping me and he gradually came up with a workable solution. Were you able to find adapters when installing new fixtures? Did you use marine type fixtures or just standard home type?
