Has anyone used products from Nautos?

I am looking to replace the blocks on my boom. I have one cracked sheave, and one completely missing sheave.

These look nice, and the price is right at $26 but I am not familiar with the manufacturer.

This is the block that needs changing, and started my investigation of options.

Current system has a double on the traveler, going through 8 blocks including the deck block with a 3 to1 purchase.

Kloudie1 mentioned in another thread that he changed his to a triple with cam at the traveler.

This would reduce me to three blocks, and give me a 6 to 1 purchase. I am seriously considering it, but the triple swivel with cam and becket is a pricy block

I have tended to use Garhauer equipment on my last 3 boats an have been very satisfied; they make nice stuff.

Measure the sheaves and then call Westmarines # and ask for their Technician. A Dremel will grind off one side of the pin and then push it out. Replace with removable pins. Chief

Wow that's gotta go!

I would replace it with another captive spindle block, like the one you had. They work well, are immensely strong, and IF THEY FAIL the line stays captive. Look at Ronstan Series 50 All Purpose line. The open spindle block you show is sexy and very low friction, but they have a terrible failure mode. At the very least I'd buy a part like that from Harken, and not some off-shore brand you don't know.

Nautos seems to be based about 15 minutes from my dock here in Fort Lauderdale, and has many other block styles including a plain line block.

I like the idea of lower friction with ball bearings, but I understand your warning regarding failure modes. I think I am going to stop by and speak with them. Being local, will help with shipping, and could help with support.
