BTW Jonelli - my original fan was fairly close to yours. Just a few subtle differences. I too had to cut the plastic to get at the motor. I used a Dremel, but in the end I think it won't work. I can't get it all to go back together in a 'solid' way. I had planned on using epoxy to put it back together.
