That's what we do, too. High hoist, adjust luff tension with the line at the drum. Easy to release at the end of a sailing day or weekend before furling it, for when the boat's not in use.Ours is attached using really strong 1/4 inch line (3 loops) and has been and works perfectly....a little tediious to get off when you want to change it, but that is better than too easy to get off....works great.
well now thats good to know that you let off the luff tension when not using the sail ...i am thinking maybe hoist it up as high as it will go and then lash the tack to the drum shackel as tight as i can get it ...and at the end of each time just back off on the jib halyard to store it when not in use and tighten up the halyard again when using it...does this sound okThat's what we do, too.
