Tiller Bracket Removal

I am trying to remove the pin on the back of the rudder mounting bracket. Someone mentioned that it might be tapered so it will only come out one direction. I put calipers on both sides and they appear to be the same diameter. Any suggestions on how the get the pin out would be appreciated.

It looks like a rolled pin in the center.You will want to soak it with penetrating oil them maybe a drift pin slightly smaller than the rolled pin to get it out. All else fails you may need to drill out the pin and put a bigger drift pin in. Hope it helps.
