Finally got a taste of Abita beer in, of all places, a Cajun restaurant in the SF Bay area. I got to hand it to y'all down there, that's some impressive stuff.

Well, thanks. That's a very impressive coastline you have up there, and some extremely impressive inlets!

On Highway 101 that is within Oregon there are

signs every few miles that say "Scenic Byway". Basically that says it all. Not to mention our fantastic beer.

Yah, good beer!

But why do we need signs denoting a "scenic byway"? Is it for those too engrossed in their driving to notice?

And why don't we ever see an "END OF DRUG-FREE SCHOOL ZONE" sign? :D

Just, yeah "scenic byway" is being absurdly redundant.

When I see those signs I think, "Well, duh !". But as a slogan for a travelogue it's right on.

As for the "drug free" signs, I would agree although to comment further would only be appropriate for the "War Room".

Why not? It's not political or religious, technically. ;)

But one friend was able to answer that question a long time ago. When you're leaving one school zone, you're entering another.

Perhaps he meant "district"?

I think the "drug free" issue is VERY political. Let

me not be the one to break the rules here.
