The Yanmar in my '82 H30 had gotten to where it took 8 -12 pushes on the start button to turn over with charged batteries.
Research on this site had me tracing the ignition wiring looking for a metal wiring connector to clean/WD40 to improve conductivity ....
What I found was a 30A inline fuse that was a bit loose in the metal connectors at either end of the fuse (see photo).
A few swipes with emory paper, snugged up the metal to metal connection and wrapped with new electrical tape - and eureka - 'Bout Time now starts first time every time!
Why would someone want a 30A fuse in the ignition wiring? Does anyone else have this same fuse setup?
