Help Identify this model

(1963 converse)

Hi, can anyone help identify this model of sailboat? I believe its approx a 24'.

Picked her up today. She is a 1963 converse. Sailed Monterey bay until 7 years ago, and was then parked for last 7 years.

Looks like an Early '70's either 23 or 25' MacGregor Venture? Not positive as the last one owned was storm damaged and once discovered was going to cost more than after repaired value, was cut up.

I agree about the HIN , I think that there has been some customization. The fixed cabin ports have been filled with wood and opening ports installed. I think that the bowsprit is not original, just from the way it looks.

1963 Converse. Got her home yesterday. What a trip. Lost a wheel bearing, ouch. But 3 hrs later was back on the road. Will post pics later today.

Hull speed is a little high. It should be 5.98 knots with that waterline length.

It is a neat looking boat. It will probably be pretty good at gunkholing with that small draft.

Thank you! I'm trying to find out more info on the boat and the builder. It needs the cockpit seating rebuilt, so looking for any help or pointers in that direction.
