Apostle Island weekend

Because we typically are cruising two-up or racing, we don't get a lot of pictures when we sail in the Apostles, which is a shame because it's so beautiful. But last weekend we brought some friends along (both crew with us on our smaller boat) and they took LOTS of pictures. Some shared here. breeze was sketchy at times but the weather and exploring were great.

Thanks for the photos...been a long time since we have been there. We just returned from two weeks in the Rossport area at the top of the Lake. Not to much wind up there either but we had nice weather which was a change from the cool summer so far up there. No blueberries or raspberries...everything was late.

Same stuff. This has been the first real two weeks of summer.... high pressure and finally some sun that makes for light airs and swimming. Every day from 1PM-3:30PM the lake breeze would finally fill in and give 10 knots towards the shore. We had cautious hope for berries.... Our holy grail, the Thimbleberry. Sadly only 1 in 20 were ready. So we snacked lightly and prepared for next weekend!
