Not the most popular area to sail, but close to home for me! A few pics from last weekend....spent an afternoon @ Carter Bay, then back to anchor overnite in Timber Bay. First pic (hope it shows up okay) is Buckeye shoal, our boats @ Carter Bay & last pics are in Timber Bay!

I can't for the life of me see why that's not a popular place to sail. At least you don't have to compete with many other boaters. Thanks for sharing.

It is quiet Kermit...just my wife I anchored in Timber Bay. My buddy was anchored @ Heywood Island (north channel) with about 15 other boats.

Very nice pictures, and looks like a great place to sail.
Thanks for sharing them.

I think the only problem there is everything is pretty wide open to southerly winds. With the North Channel drawing most of the boat traffic you would have the place to yourself. Reminds me some places in the Apostle Islands.

It is a nice area srust......we are pretty vunerable to south winds here, but fortunately our marina is really protected. Awesome harbour master as well here, takes really good care of things when we are not around! This year, I'm the only sailor with a seasonal slip out of possibly 40 boats at a guess. Lot of salmon fishing going on here.... lol.
