Oceanis 351- Fuel handle next to main switch

We have Oceanis 351 of ´94. There is a handle with picture of fuel tank next to battery switches. You can pull it. What´s the purpose of it?

This. You should pull it if you ever suspect a potential problem/fire in the engine compartment. It also serves as a way to stop the diesel if the solenoid on the electronic kill fails. It just takes a minute or so.
