I cannot plane with my beat up Mercury 50 HP. What size and model can you recommend? I want to put a bigger motor on it. HB

IMHO 70hp is about right. watch the head case. (cowl)

so far I had no one to inform me what is the highest hp motor I can comfortably use on my 26X. Can I get by with a 75hp, or do I need to go no higher than a 60 hp? HB
