As anyone added an anchor roller to his 272? I am interested in adding one to my 1987 272. If you have, what size roller worked? What are the dimensions? Could you send pictures? Did you use a backing plate? Would you change anything about it?

Thanks,

Andrew

We do not have one, nor have I wished I had one, but I'll bet most people tell me I'm nuts. We just keep the anchor stored in it's locker until needed and the space up forward on deck is pretty open so my wife just very carefully get's the anchore and rode ready, then gently lowers it while I remain at the helm....has worked well, and we have anchored quite a bit in our lake....that may be the caveat, we are anchoring in a
cove for dinner, or for overnight in a cove, where the water in general is quieter than it might be in more wave prone areas....different conditions might make the anchor roller
more of necessity. Patrick

As with you, the Admiral handles the anchor. I do everything I can to make her job as easy as possible! We get some chop on Seneca Lake, so an anchor roller would help. She mentioned a winch (windlass) as well, so... we shall see!

Thanks!
