Thx for the feedback on my 23.5 interior light issue.
Now I have another question.
I am missing the pin that goes into the mast track to keep the hanks from dropping out of the track. What's it called and where to I get a replacement.
Also have a couple broken hanks. Where to I get new ones?
Pls adv,

You can get a sail mast stop at amazon for around 14.00 . Lots of places sell them .they probably sell them here at the web store . At the top next to home click on store . Are you speaking of hanks for your jib >???If so I would try sailrite or again the store here . Good luck

Look for the listings at this store or Sailrite for sail slugs and slides. BrianW

You used the term "hanks" when you should have said sail slides. The original jib for the H23.5 had metal hanks that clipped to the forestay.. The mainsail uses sail slides that attach to the sail and are fed into the sail track. I bought replacement sail slides at West Marine and keep a number of them on board for spares.

I lost mine years ago on my 23.5 and replaced with one of these. Until I found it, I would wrap a little tape around the mast after rigging to keep the sail from sliding down. Worked well for a short time.

MMHammer;

Hanked on jibs refer to the bronze snaps used to attach the luff of the jibs to the forestay vs. a furler system. Mainsails are attached with sail slug slides. When I started sailing in my younger stupider days, I use to call those hanks suckers. I learned the appropriate term quickly when I came to my boat and saw real suckers hoisted up and attached to the forestay. I had a good laugh along with everyone else.
