Nice work.

I just finished fixing my rudder head and tiller yolk. Planned 1 full day - took 2.

Nice work, lp. Why is it your wifer's windlass? You macho type are all the same, sending the "wimmun" up to the pointy end!!! :):):)

Agreed. I don't ask my Sweetie to haul up the mucky rode. Besides, having her steer to hand signals when there's no pressure is good practice for the time when there will be.
But nice install.
So far this spring I have projects that are far less exotic.
Cockpit drain hoses, replacement seacocks and new rubrails.
Oh and she likes doing bright work! ( while I'm cursing in the bilge.)

My wife made a deal for the windlass...she buys it I install it....she got the better deal

and my Wifes new windlass
................................... does this mean that only she gets to use the new windlass but you still have to hoist anchor using the old armstrong windlass :cry:.
