My handle for my bilge pump was stolen. Can anyone direct me to a place where I can purchase a new one. Found one site with "whale" replacement parts but it's pretty expensive. Was hoping for a little cheaper alternative. Might make my own but need to determine the size of the inside diameter if you happen to know that. Thanks.

Robert Redford just whittled the end of a dowel for his replacement pump handle..

yes, thought about that but would really like a real one with a real handle. There's one online but with shipping I'm likely looking at $60. I'll order it if no one else has any other thoughts.

Similar situation but mine jumped overboard (all by itself). Replaced it with a piece of SS tubing for about $5.00 and placed a handle over the end made from heavy black rad hose. Looks like it's made for the pump.

Sorry can't say what size it was ............... approx. 1/2" dia. is a rough guess.

Someone stole the handle?...what a lowlife. A caliper would tell you the diameter, handy tool to have but good ones are not cheap. It's probably some standard measure, guesstimate with a ruler and test with some cheap stock.

Agree with the others, just a metal tube, stainless would be good, but not sure you need to for the price. Maybe a bicycle grip for a handle? Maybe I should make a dupe while it's on my mind, I have mine, but have only used it to check the pump works on occasion.
