Oceanis 36cc - Fresh water leak where ?

We have a fresh water leak in our Oceanis 36cc with the water beeing gathered in the bilge. I suspect it is rainwater and that the leak is somewhere in backend of the boat.

Has anybody had similar experiences ?

A swimming pool pH test kit might help to determine if the water is tankage water or rain water.

Empty your water tanks and see if you still get water in the bilge after rain or hosing down. Most likely leak is the stanchion base bolts. Can you pinpoint by taping over limber holes and watching where water accumulates? Unlikely to be hull to deck join unless damged as Beneteau do a good job bonding these together.
I have had success pressurising the interior by rigging a shop vac to blow into a hole in a false companionway board, sealing all outlets and using a soap solution around deck edges and fittings.

Good point. I will take a closed look at the bolts.

I had a similar problem.... mine was a leak in hot water pipe that ran from hot water tank to bathroom. It was a hole in that pipe caused by the screw that holds the bigle pump tubes to the hull under the boards going thru the moulding to the hot water pipe inside the moulding. It will be obvious coz water pump will run occasionally when no tap open.

I found a leak between the two main parts of the body of the freshwater pump. A fine spray when in use. An easy fix.
