My 216 is showing too much sideways movement and I assume the bushes or some other element of the CB rig is in need of replacement. Does anyone know how this is best approached?
Do I need to extract the whole CB rig from the boat?

Yes, you do. the lead board rides in a stainless steel frame that carries the board pivot, the sheave for the lift cable, and the hydraulic cylinder. with the board all the way up, remove the screws around the perimeter and use a chain fall or engine hoist to lift the entire assembly out. be very careful, remember the board weighs 500lbs. you can then work on the pivot. The store here can probably set you up with the parts.
