Water between floor and hull

Our boat suffered a crack in the deck during hurricane Sandy. Water entered the boat at the crack and made it's way between the bilge and hull. I used a small hose about the diameter of a pencil and rigged it up to a small shop vac. It worked well getting into small spaces and getting small amounts of water out. I got almost all the water out, but there is still some moisture trapped underneath and it's starting to smell a little.

I've been accessing the area under the bilge through the 2 small holes in the attached image. I've read posts from other who've suggested cutting a hole in the pan to remove the moisture. Anyone have any advice on how to dry out the area between the bilge and hull or am am I better off cutting a hole in the floor?

Put that small shop vac on blow, and let it run for some hours into the floor pan holes.

We run a dehumidifier for several weeks to finally dry out the remaining water in the grid.

Beneteau claims the water will make it into the bilge pump inlet.Good luck with that !
On my B381, it would have since the grid pan had weep holes molded in and sat right on the hull. On my 423 they are drilled in and sit about 1/4-1/2 " above the hull. The solution published on the 423 site is to use a small diameter hose and vacuum out.
