a wall paper steamer and razor scraper worked well for me.

If the vinyl is thin and cracked the "eraser" works well.

If the vinyl is still plyable the wall paper streamer work great. I never had any luck with heat guns/hair dryers.

Dion is doing what I did as a dealer. Use of a thin blade scraper will marr the gel coat if you figit as I would call.

I just asked this same question a few weeks ago. I started using a paint scraper and a heat-gun....now that sounds bad but listen. I directed the heat gun primarily at the scraper. This really heated up the scraper, then the hot air flowed down the blade to the pin striping and heated it up as well. The hot scraper slid easily through the striping. It came off nicely then I washed it down with that goop like remover from Walmart. It worked pretty good without any blistering. Just took my time over several days.

3M Stripe-Off wheel hands down..... Faster, easier and less potential to marr or damage the gel coat...
