Show your Holiday boat lighting

You won't get many replies from Maine. Our sailing season is from July 4th till July 18th. Merry Christmas!
+1 from Ohio. We sail early May to mid October on Lake Erie - but would still like to see your pics.
Our Christmas parade is the 2nd weekend in December. We usually get about 20 boats. We do not participate with our boat as we usually have the shrink wrap on by then. Here is a photo from a previous year's lights at the dock.
BTW, Rich, we are still sailing. We plan to have Thanksgiving at Jewell Island.

SOS boat
This December BoatU.S. magazine, page 63, has a picture of our 700+ member club (Singles on Sailboats, SOS for short) entry last year. The boat's owner offered her boat, Carolina Girl, as long as there were penguins in the display... and there are. You can't tell there is a series of figures sledding down the Christmas tree.
No, we do not hail "SOS" on the VHF; we use "Whisker Pole" instead.
Update: FWIW, That was in 2009. I should have known better since in the pic I am on the bow, but last year my band played for the club's after-parade party.

Have done boat lighting the past three years running I can offer the following suggestions.
1 - Yard Inflatables don't work well in the wind.
2 - Plastic bulb lights if you can find them are much easier to deal with than glass. We have broken a lot of glass bulbs.
3 - To Hoist lights up the rig on a sailboat, wrap them around a rope on the ground and then hoist the rope and lights together. Once hoisted, tension the bottom end of the line wherever you want the string of lights to come down to. It is much easier this way than trying to hoist a string of lights and then wrap them around a forestay of sidestay.
4 - Have fun, but realize a big display can be a bit of work. The attached photo took 1 ful day of planning and another full day to setup on the boat. Yes, that is a 45' diameter peace sign.
