Any one know where I can find replacement cowl vents or how to refurbish the existing vents for my H34? The originals are rubber which have developed a bumpy surface and are yellow/brown from decades of sitting in the sun. As always your feedback is appreciated in advance.

Didn't see my size at the Hunter Owners Store so left them a query. Per my measurement I need a vent that is about 5 1/2 in. diameter at the base.

Gave Up on the Vinyl Cowls .................
...................... and went with stainless cowls some years ago. Purchased them here in the SBO store. Maintaining the vinyl cowls was impossible and the present SS ones only require an occasional buff to keep them looking brand new.

After trying to clean them up, I replaced my cowl vents with Nicro solar vents on Starboard adaptors I made to fit the 4 inch vents to the 5 inch openings.

I was on a friend's J-46 and he has very large pastic cowl vents. He coyly asked me how I liked his new vents. He then told me they were the old vents (which were awful). He had taken them home, sanded them smooth and sprayed them with the plastic spray from Lowe's/HD that you can use on plastic lawn furniture. He did not prime them and they look brand new. This friend of mine is not short on money, he just hates to waste it. You will be able to buy quite a few cans of paint for the price of one vent.

Ditto on mine for my H-34. Same method and same results. I even did the inside red as per the original. Took a little longer but came out real nice.
