Do you serve a signature drink on your boat? For example ours is called a Perfect Excuse, a rum based cocktail named for our boat. My sister-in-law from S/V RSVP and I are compiling signature drinks with recipes, photos and anecdotes with the intent of creating a book of signature boat drinks. Banana Whacker
Pussers Rum, banana, Bailey's, snicker bar, ice in a blender, clothing optional. Drink was invented on the last night of a BVI charter when we had to finish off the bar before we left the boat. It lives in the crews memory but never been duplicated.

Changes every time--whatever's in the cupboard!

But the basics are ice, Barbados Rum, fruit juices, grenadine, and Barbados Rum.

Did I mention Barbados Rum? :)

A snicker's bar? Gonna have to try that! Any particular amounts on the other ingredients?

Kraken Rum, straight.
Landshark beer (my dock neighbor owns an AB distributorship!) with a lime or with the neck filled with lime flavored rum if you really want to speed things up

Had my fill of rum in the PI in 1961 -'62 with little limes and coca cola. Haven't had a taste for it since.

Signature drink is the Dark n Stormy. Goslings rum and ginger beer with a squeeze of lime.

End of the evening and end of a trip is single malt scotch. Lagavulin or Glenlivet 18

Keep the stuff for Dark and Stormy's around always. But on my boat, it's rum, Ice . No ice? Then Rum, water.:dance:And often there IS no ice:)

Goslings Rum
Passion fruit juice
Splash of 7-Up (sprite will do)
Slice of orange and lime.

Don't have more than two though.

So much rum. Ugh, can't stand the stuff, except for Bacardi light.

When I'm feeling motivated to pick mint, I like a mojito with Bacardi light.

Otherwise, I keep a bottle of bourbon on board.

The ex-girlfriend was partial to Tanqueray and tonic (couldn't be just gin and tonic, had to be Tanqueray) but she's gone now.

I had an idea for a drink, using a blueberry puree drink like you can get from Whole Foods, maybe like Odwalla or something, with light rum, seltzer, and some fresh rosemary thrown in with a sprig for garnish, but I never got around to trying it out. Don't be stealing my drink idea, now...

Discovered the Dark n Stormy about a year ago and loved it. Sometimes if I'm not in the mood for all the sweetness, I cut the ginger beer with equal part tonic. I call it a Partly Cloudy.

Ice, dark rum, gingerale, lime = a refreshing anytime drink.

and you can get ginger ale in the islands fairly cheap. - other name brand sodas are $$$

Boy I wish I could remember the proportions. It was, like I said, the last night of the charter and we were cleaning out the stores for most of the day. I do remember it was only one snickers bar! Several of our party never did find all the clothing they came with. I seem to recall the Willy T was involved at one point

Well there's your problem, the best rum in the world is made in the Windward Islands and comes straight from the cane, aged in oak. Try Westerhall Plantation neat, it compares closely to a cognac.

For a great, easy boat drink:
high-ball glass of ice, Double-shot Mt. Gay Barbados Rum, splash of Reed's Jamaican-style ginger beer, lime twist. - cures a sick stomach and promotes crew morale!

A take away from the Blasters you get at Pete's Pub, Little Harbour, Abaco's

One cup of lime juice, two cups of simple syrup, three cups of Cruzan Aged Rum and four cups of fruit juice. Normally two cups of pineapple juice and two of orange juice. Finish it off with a large dash of bitters and a slice or orange floating on the top. The admiral keeps telling me it's too strong, but our guests never complain and keep coming back for more.

My favourite drink on the boat (responsibly consumed at the marina):
- rum or whisky
- pepsi
- blackcurrant juice (hard to find at some places)
- lemon
- ice

Mmmmm...and I have to wait till May next year to have another one :-(
