Saturday, while the wife and I were cleaning the boat, I reached in from the outside to grab my beer off the counter and when I did, a piece of the plastic frame snapped off proving the age of it all. The good news is, where it snapped it still won't leak. The bad news is, there is now no question that I'll be replacing all the portlites (probably one or two at a time).

My quest will now to be to measure and find new replacements without breaking the bank! I'm thinking I'll likely go with Beckson ports from somewhere. That said, who has done this and where did you buy them, what was included and what did you learn from the first one(s) that made the rest easier?

I was looking at Discount Marine...$40 cheaper each (assuming 5X12) and no shipping fees...

True if you're talking Beckson.. but I figured you'd want to stay with the exact replacement Grays.. My mistake.

A word of warning Mac, be careful ordering from internet suppliers who do not provide a contact phone number. I had an unpleasant experience with the site you provided. Missed you at the club Saturday night.

True enough, Steve! As for Saturday, we were there for a little bit and had to leave to go pick up our son from work and St Peters is a bit of a drive!

Mr. Mac;

Gray International is part of the Pompanette Company. Recently, I went direct as a former dealer who use to buy parts from them all the time for a quote on a forward hatch for a Boy Scout owned Hunter 27 1981 model. I can order the same hatch cheaper thru this site. Also be very careful when dealing with an outside source with no contact or phone information. If you are concerned about some company or person you would be dealing with, check with BBB which you can as well. I would suggest staying with the original window frame replacement if it still exists to prevent having to cut fiberglass and so on if you are squeamish.

Thanks, CD! I have decided to go ahead with ordering Gray's from our site here and getting the right ones though I am nowhere near squeamish about cutting in to the hull! My ace-in-the-hole is my oldest son who has done many a hull repair in his time working at some of the marinas around here.
