The day after I posted this, I learned one of my junior high school friends died in a dockside boating accident when a cabin cruiser and their pontoon boat collided.
Just glad no one was in that boat when the police hit it. Gross negligence and manslaughter are difficult to dodge even in the DC police department.

Really, if I had hit a boat like that, they would have cuffed me and made me go through breathalyzers and drug tests. You think his buddies subjected him to any of that humility? I hope the locals don't let this go.

I drive a company vehicle at my 2nd job. Company policy states that if I'm involved in any kind of accident, even if I'm parked at the time and someone else hits me, I cannot go anywhere, another employee must pick me up and take me directly to be drug tested. From that video it doesn't look like the cop in question got any of that scrutiny at the scene. Funny how big corporations often have more stringent policies than those who are supposed to serve and protect the public.
He didn't. If you watch the extended videos, Officer Fife was dead in the water within 100 yards.
Have there been any updates to this story? Been almost 2 weeks since this made national news. I'd think it would still be getting a little attention.
