Overnight in Huntington

Did an overnight trip to Huntington NY this weekend, rafted up with a friend. One of the guys on the other boat is a pro photographer, he snapped a couple pics and shot them over to me this morning.




He took this photo from nearly a mile away, 400 something X zoom lens, I was impressed...
EDIT, the original he sent you can almost tell what I'm reading, in the SBO compressed version it's not so impressive...


no, I am not burned... he lightened the image to reduce the shadow from the bimini which made me look more red than I really was, said something about beggars cannot be choosers


This one was last weekend, anchored out by myself in the Norwalk Islands, and had a little train of inflatables trailing behind me

Trying to figure out if you anchored overnight in Huntington or Northport harbor. There is also Lloyd Harbor & Centerport Harbor.

Trying to figure out if you anchored overnight in Huntington or Northport harbor. There is also Lloyd Harbor & Centerport Harbor.

Huntington, on a mooring, you cannot anchor down in the lower part of the harbor as its entirely filled with moorings. I have previously overnighted in all of those except centerport.
