After a lighning strike yesterday my tank systems monitor is reading 0 for water tanks and full for diesel. My Seatalk network is not showing any instrument (depth, autohelm, etc).
I'm hoping there is a fuse or breaker somewhere that needs to be reset.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot.

On my boat there is a sea talk circuit breaker on the DC breaker panel. I hope you are that lucky. I got hit and ended up having to replace all electronics including sensors on tank monitoring system. Check everything there may be other components effected as well including radios

When lightning struck near our 41 Hunter we lost all electronics. This included: ST 60 speed, depth and wind; Chart Plotter; VHF radio; A/C control panels; generator control panel; fire suppresion system control; tank readout panel; TV antenna; Bose suround sound system.

However, electrical devices like pumps and lights were not damaged.

Some of these items did not appear damaged for months. I had two professionals look at the damage and each of them only identified about half of the items that failed. Check everything carefully.

Unfortunately I'm not that lucky:cry:. Looks like it took out the entire Sea Talk II network. Might be time to upgrade to something better.
