The bolt securing the fleming support, which prevents anchor chain wrap, fell off. I believe the nut it mounted to corroded away, but I can't view anything until I can remove the clutch cone and the gypsy chain plate. It has a side slit which I tried to penetrate with a small screwdriver to free it for rotation. No luck. Does anyone have experience with this issue. Thx.

The bolt holding the fleming gets loose, corrodes and vibrates ruining the threads in the hole. That's what happens to Lewmar windlasses. You really have to remove the windlass to do a good fix. Yes. I've had this problem. Difficult to fix. I filled it with JB Weld to try and hold the bolt in but it doesn't seem to adhere well.
