Keep forgetting my tape measure when I go out to the boat so I thought someone here would know and also the post would help anyone else..... What is the outside diameter of the tubing used for the stern rail on the 25? Mine is a 1977, hopefully that didn't change much. I am thinking 1" but, want to know for sure.

Thanks!

Are you talking about the black insert? If so, it seems the original type is not available anymore, so that what you replace it with fits into the old rigid rail but has a slightly larger profile than the older "tube".

I just replaced the rigid and insert on my stern and I was able to buy about 12 feet of each from DR Marine. It looks a little funky where the old and the new come together, so I'll replace all the old black insert next year.

I am referring to the stainless steel tubing that makes up the stern rail. I want to know the outside diameter so I can get some spring clips for a small table to be put on top.

Found some old notes, apparently it measured 1" in outside diameter.
