Cabin light water leaks

Moved into my newly purchased '85 Catalina 30 this weekend and found water damage in the cabin lights. The sockets of the lights in the head and galley were rusted and the quarter berth light was full of water. Anyone have thoughts or experience with problem?

I haven't noticed that on my new to me '90 Cat 30 but I'll check now! My problem was the windows and ports leaking.

We had similar problems on the starboard side lights. We cured this problem by removing and resealing all of the tracks. While we were at it we removed and resealed everything on top of the deck. Dry as a bone during some of our torrential NW downpours. Sometime back we purchased all new window/port seals from catalina direct. That cured the window leaks.
