Need to replace one original port. Any suggestions on removing old port and installing new one?

Fixed port or opening port?
I posted an article on my removal and replacement of fixed ports in the Modifications section.

Gary ports may, just may, be built similar to th becksons, in which case the removal tool shown in the links would work, since it's a "plastic" port (i.e., NOT a New found Metal or other hard metal one). If there are screws/bolts going through the Grays, obviously remove them first. The whole concept is to use mechanical advantage rather than trying to pry them out. We have one Gray port and eight Becksons. The Gray is installed in a fixed portlight in our head, and IIRC, it does have thru bolts.

Indeed they are Gray ports. Cockpit facing are # 414 the others are 512. Stu has a good point not to pry and perhaps the Beckson tool might work. I used an long exacto blade to cut through the dried-up caulking. Worked OK but long and tedious if you want to make sure not to damage the gelcoat both inside and outside. The store here can get the Gray and the Beckson for you.
