If you look hard at it, you can see a glimmer of good intentions... all the lugs look nice, some with heat-shrink even, a bus-bar for the negative... but it just... grew

So to me, the big fail is lack of planning, and failure to stop, re-think, and re-organize once it started getting out of hand.


MS - are they gonna spring for a rewire of the compartment?

Unfortunately the re-wire won't happen until next winter. I am "patching" it up to make safe (not perfect but safer) for this season then over the winter it will get tackled.

Owner has already spent close to 30k since purchasing the boat so needs a little time to re-build the boat kitty. The boat is absolutely gorgeous but the systems are old and had too many hands touch them over the years..

That's not even the worst of it.... Oh and the surveyor out in the Great Lakes never noted one single item having to do with wiring and there are TONS of unsafe issues...
