I wanted to paint the gray non skid on my 410. I checked on this site and some manufacturers and never really found what I thought was the right solution. I wanted to paint the gray non skid that has the diamond pattern. The Kiwi grip stuff appears too thick and adds texture. Even Interlux could not recommend a good solution. Anyway, after checking the products out there I tried Interlux Interdeck paint. I can tell you this product worked GREAT!. The gray from Interlux pretty much matches the original gray. Although there is some very light grit in the Interdeck it is very slight and does not affect the diamond pattern.
So anyone wanting to paint their original diamond non skid I recommend Interlux Interdeck. Now if Interlux would just pay me for this unfunded commercial, lol.
As an FYI I taped the areas around the non skid with the blue vinyl type paint. I put two coats on. The trick was finding 2 days in SW Florida when it did not rain. I also covered the boat with plastic tarps to keep the bird sh.. off. It took one quart of paint for each coat.
