Could you tell us H310 owners where along the rod did it breaK? Any idea why it broke? Was the rod lubricated?
Thanks for the reply- I assume you are talking about the lubricating the zerk fitting on the rudder quadrant. But how do you get to the zerk fitting at the base of the Edson pedestal, inside the larger fiberglas pedestal? Can't reach down to the base from the top of the fiberglas pedestal.Sorry it took me so long to answer.
It was the connection to the rod on the rudder side that broke. Bad maintenance is what caused it. I just recently bought the boat from the previous owner who was not too keen on maintenance.
