I fixed ports and mast raiser for "my girl" oday 26

I visited "my girl" yesterday. The new owner had extracted a couple of projects from me as part of the deal. She looked great. I really wanted to take her out but she's not mine anymore. :-(

On the bright side Lynn and I were able to spend three days on Mystic Girl last week. We did not get to sail as I lack still some safety equipment and full documentation. She is slipped at Brunswick Landing Marina, Brunswick, Ga. I will not get to go back until late June. More on our plans later.

The island packet yacht owners association website lacks the participation and helpfulness of this site. I miss you guys and will be "lurking"

I have a couple of items left over from my girl, both are never used,

I am left with two new ports. And also the mast raising system Anybody interested?

Thank you for the nice words Keith but I think I'll just be satisfied with sharing some of the bits and pieces that has worked for me through the years. After all, I'm still learning myself.
I only wish my guitar playing would get a little better.

As you probably already know. iphomeport.com is much more active than IPYOA.com. While neither has the volume of posts that this forum has, you will get fairly quick and good answers on the iphomeport site.

I'm now considered a "live aboard" I guess. The house sold, we sold nearly all our household stuff and now, our only home would be the boat. I'll still be working though. Two weeks out of the month we will stay in a small apartment "back home" while I continue to work my old job. The rest of the time we will be here, working on the boat and improving our coastal cruising skills. Sometime later this year, we will loose the docklines and set sail for three or four months. Then back to work for a while.. I'm hoping for six months work, six months cruising, but time and experience will tell!
